Thanks guys, Hi Patton
Friend got a hold of these, might be more than one set, and he wasnt sure what they were off of. He has a 68 442 and had 69s. The guy they came from had like 71 and 72 cutlasses.

Hello back at 'ya Bill.

Definitely used on '70-72 Olds Cutlass/442 converts and Buicks.....likely on Chevy and Pontiac converts of the same vintage.

Nice originals are in demand. They are repro'd but as you probably already know, lots of repro parts are lacking in one or more details. I'm not 100% sure but I think the repros may not have the inner steel structure (would add a lot to the production cost) and may be the typical repro molded urethane one piece type deal...there may be other differences as well. Originals are vinyl covering a foam inner layer (and the steel inner core piece).

They can be painted as well so whatever color they are shouldn't be a hindrance to a knowledgeable buyer.

I had a pair of used originals in a green color from a '71 Cutlass convert and they were far from perfect (had some bubbling up/lifting of the vinyl covering)....had multiple people wanting them. Forget my asking price but it wasn't a lot since mine had some defects but a nice pair should bring good money.
