Thanks Dan.
It had a rubber cowl seal on it but I took it off. Pushes the rear of the hood up. It needs a foam seal.

My hunch is that the former car owner purchased a reproduction Cowl Seal from Ground Up, Inc. I know this because the former owner worked part time for Ground Up. Or you may have an early style reproduction hood which has now been redesigned better. Their early reproduction hoods were notorious for sticking up in the back.
