Sonic Turbo Mufflers for me... Had them on my 69 Nova with turn downs at the rear axle. Loved the sound.

Walker Royal Scot glass-pack style mufflers were pretty popular in the late-70s / early-80s. Had a cherry-bomb style case, but a much better sound. I think they had baffles inside instead of being straight-through. I recall them being painted a copper color.
In the 1990s, I was on a budget, and always ran the cheap Thrush Turbo mufflers that were like $10-15 ea. Didn't sound too bad, actually. Last edited by novadude; 08-01-2019 at 04:10 PM.

The Walker 21348 were good mufflers that we ran back in the day -- Corvair Turbo Charger mufflers (I believe the number is correct) I believe these mufflers started the "turbo muffler" era ... TAZ
