No, not poisonous. It’s a Texas Black Snake, or Rat Snake. It’s part of the Rat Snake family just like Jimmie the Weasel, Loose Lips Tony, and Twinkle Toes Tommy!
 Picture makes it appear that it’s diamond shaped on that noggin’, but I can assure you that I may be stupid (that’s a fact! ) but I ain’t stupid enough to get close to anything poisonous that bites! Lot of big creepy crawlies out here for sure. Squished my first tiny tarantula and baby scorpion too. Bleh! Time to move Cheers Dave
