Mine got worn in the saddles where the U joint sits so the cups would slowly rotate and make a clicking sound as the driveshaft rotated. Couldn't tighten them with new straps. I ended up buying a NOS flange at the time.

When a person is real POOR and cannot afford new stuff ... I have center-punched the saddle area in multiple places and that stopped the cup rotation. Even did this on a dirt track stock car ... Craig
