When Bruce called me with the news of Dave's passing I was totally shocked. He was truly a genuine, honest, "car crazy" guy. From almost the first time I met him he was always after me to sell him my car (even putting a note on my car one time that said "Will be Dave's someday")!! He said it was because of a Nova he had back in the day. What everyone is saying about his cars is so true. A perfectionist to the extreme. His cars, in my eyes, were even too nice to drive!! I never did see him drive anyone of them in "anger", so to speak.
He mentioned one time that he had never got to ride in my car. Well a few years ago, I made a point of taking him for a ride to remember!! When I "got on it", he was giggling like a little kid!! He said that was the most fun he'd had in a long time!! Glad I could accommodate you Dave! My condolences to his wife Bird and brother Marty. Rest in peace my brother...................

So sad, I only have spoken with Dave a few times, but he was held in high esteem by everyone in the hobby. We lost a great one and he will be missed... RIP
