It's good to know the Chevelle is alive and well!! In the mid seventies the owner would bring it into the Pontiac dealership where I was employed because he was chummy with the service manager (Pontiac drag racer Jerry Stealy).

I am familiar with the LB Camaro although I haven't spoken with the owner in a while. The FG car I am not familiar with.

I happened to witness a transport unloading Yenko cars at the Friedley dealership. IIRC they sold a total of 3 Chevelles and 4 Camaros??

One year later, more on this thread.

Last Thursday I was in line at a funeral visitation, talking cars with a friend who was in line in front of me. The gentleman behind me joins in and states that he was the original owner of the white Friedley sold Yenko Chevelle!! I didn't get much more info, but we agreed to talk later.

Also, Harold Freidley, the previous owner of Freidley Olds/GMC who sold the Yenko cars locally, passed away two weeks ago at age 92.

I have been told that Freidley sold one Yenko Nova? Any truth to that??

If one was, it must have lead a quiet life, or the stripes came off right away. Only heard stories about the Yenko Camaros. Rapids Chev in Cedar Rapids had deuces. Maybe that's what he's thinking of.
