Default Dealer

Lynn:
See what you can find out about Seltzer Chevrolet. Their location; "Yukon is part of zone 23 and I don't have a dealer number for them and they fit into the dealer number you are looking for. This is a Dec 69' ad. I see ads from 68' - 71'.

Thanks Paul. I have several old Seltzer Chevy ads. I worked right down the street from them. My first Z (Silver w/ black stripes) came from there. Had a dealer installed cross ram before I got it. POP was in the glove box, but I pitched it as being "useless". Just as well. The car ended up with a 427 L72 engine, wrapped around a telephone pole, and was parted out and crushed.

I don't know if it would help, but Seltzer became Alan Merril Chevrolet in late 71, I believe. I tried to find a dealer number for them but never did.

I know Seltzer sold a ZL1, I think car #61. I thought the one they sold was white, but CRG shows it as fathom green. I guess I could run the NCRS on that car and see if it is the same dealer code.

I just posted a "wanted" ad on local CL.

https://oklahomacity.craigslist.org/...826401883.html

My car had two holes in the tail panel where a missing dealer emblem had been installed. Not having he emblem, I welded the holes. But, I did take measurements before welding them up. Maybe someone here in the OKC area has an old Seltzer emblem, and I can match it up that way.

Paul:
I just had another thought. ZL 1 #61 came from Seltzer Chevrolet in Yukon, OK. VIN is 124379N642927.

Has anyone ordered the shipper report for that car? If it is the same dealer code as mine, then I will know it came from Seltzer (which I have always suspected).

Two Questions:

1. Anyone have any pics of #62 from the back? It would likely show the dealer emblem.
2. Do I need to be the owner to request the shipper report from NCRS?
