Everything is all torqued down now, so I can run the test again and see if the contact improves. I'm just going to have to live with the results. I expect the two banks to be different because I had to use a .040" head gasket on the virgin deck and a .051" on the shaved deck (result of a sleeve in #5) to achieve my target 10.5:1 CR.
Yes, there are no variations of 409 push rods available. All the OEM intakes are the same length and starting with the '63 cam, the exhausts are about 1/16" longer. Verne |
