Some more questions for you guys. As I research pictures of casting numbers it appears all of the "8"s have a gap in the center of the "8". The 2nd number on my casting number doesn't have this gap.
So it appears to just be a sloppy cast "9" ? ZLP955 you said you couldn't find any reference to a casting number of "3853692", which would make this a "3953692" water pump. In what scenario would someone want a 1969 water pump with a May 1968 date ? Thanks again for all you help and information.
