I'm not against either,and enjoy both a Manual trans as well as an Auto trans. equipped car.Both are fun to drive & have their advantages/disadvantages..
I've found with us all aging more & more,and the generations after ours coming up financially,they majority of those people in the market for cars like ours are completely inept at driving a manual trans. vehicle,thus the Autos seem to sell faster.
When I see 2 identical cars for sale,(one with M/T,the other a TH400),the one with the Auto trans seems to sell within days,while the M/T take longer.
One guy told me he never grew up with a M/T,and didn't want to learn how now.
