I read the original listing. It clearly states that there is a "wallowed" out hole. Is that the issue the buyer has, or is it the fact that it should be freshened up? If the hole is the issue, I would say "no refund". I also would think that a transmission from 1967 would need to be freshened up, or at least double checked for wear and tear, before installing it.

My thoughts are that the buyer is buying a used part and with that used part, there are

responsibility's of the buyer to check and evaluate the part being bought. It is also the sellers

responsibility to let the buyer know that this is a used part and will need to be gone

through.Common sense will hopefully tell the buyer to go over the part. On this site it

seems that sellers are very good at passing good used parts to fellow members here...there

should be some type of time line for the buyer to look at a part and evaluate and let the

seller know what their thoughts are on the part in a timely manor. Just my .002!

Is that 60 day guarantee strictly for paid members or anyone responding to an ad on SYC?

Based on just the ad, and no other correspondences it is being sold as a 51 year old part with no known history or claim of functionality.. The seller did not rebuild or state "it was in my car and it shifted perfect and made no noise".

If the transmission is not rebuildable or then I would suggest the buyer and seller work it out.

If the buyer and seller want my input beyond what I stated please PM me.
