Was it possible for the missing Jenkins car to have air conditioning originally? Any guess what month it was built?

Has it been definitively determined that the '68 Camaro being represented as a Grumpy's Toy outside Pittsburgh is not the real deal?

They surely are pushing it as an original Grumpy's Toy.

I made up this list because, like most, I used to get very confused by the Jenkins cars.

Its not made any easier by him using the same entry# at a couple of meets. Pic shows the 779 Toy IV 396cui/375hp car at 69 Winters running SS/D. If it had been 68 it would be SS/C. 777 entry - Toy III - 67 Spring Nats 777 entry - Toy III - 67 Nationals (Not to be confused with 777 Toy VI (69) or Pro Stock 68 car/70 Winters) 789 entry -Toy III - 68 Winters 700 entry - Toy III - 68 Indy 779 entry - Toy IV - 69 Winters 797 entry - Toy IV - 68 Spring 709 entry - Toy VI - 69 Nats 776 entry - Toy VI - 100 entry - Toy VI - 777 entry - Toy VI - Last edited by Red Baron; 02-23-2023 at 06:51 AM. |

I've heard/read stories over the years that he converted the '67 to look like a '68 body to avoid starting over with another identical car for the '68 season.

Is that false, did he convert it back later to sell ???
