I just got off the phone with Jim and it is his old car, he sold it around 78-79
He said it popped up a few years ago and a guy named Dave Osborne was selling it, he won it in a storage auction and paid $4000 for it and was then selling it for $12,000 Jim said it was untouched from the time he sold it and looked exactly the same right down to the little fuzzy head thing that was on the dashboard when he sold it. I remember that thing absolutely terrorizing the neighborhood when I was a kid, a true bad ass car. |

Wow, I am amazed. I bought the car from a guy who had gotten it running but very poorly. I rebuilt the carb, recovered the seats, fixed a couple floor braces that were rotted, installed an exhaust and fixed the headers, went through the brakes and steering, etc...it was a mess when I got it. Ran awesome for the short time I had it on the road, just a super fun car. I had to sell when we moved back to the city and lost my enormous pole barn. I had every intention of keeping it.
Was your buddy the guy who built the car originally? |

I think I paid $9500 for it, plus a set of wheels.
