Thanks for that synopsis. I can appreciate the one-focus of the Z's but not sure I'd be able to daily one but they are pretty cool.

Biggest reason people got out of these quickly was ride quality. The DSSV's are an amazing shock, but unless your frame of reference was track cars most would find it very harsh for a daily.

Do you have one? If so would love your thoughts?

Yes, i had/have owned two. Incredibly visceral car to drive..aesthetics on them are superior to the gen 6 IMO. They are analog throwbacks to the purpose built cars we all lust over on here. They are for minimalists who love pure performance. GM shot themselves in the foot making too many while simultaneously releasing the Z06, most folks bought the vette for another 10k and these languished on lot's for in some cases years. They are a great value at current levels IMO and have some hallmarks of future collectibility going for them. Some of those being their own VIN, low production, factory CCB's and a 427 that hasn't come in a line built camaro since 1969. The RPO alone was well over double the window sticker on a nicely equipped SS, eerily reminiscent of the 69 ZL1. They won back to back Continental Tire endurance championships in 2014& 15,so the race history is certainly there too. You hardly ever see them on the road, and i live in L.A. Think the bottom is pretty much in on them as a gen 6Z is fading with every day. You might turn the same lap times as a gen 6 1LE for like money, but it will never have the cache of the Z. All JMHO.

I bought the 15 Z and I have to tell you, what a great car! A lot of fun to drive and do not see many on the road. Now for the 2 day approach......
