doesn't the earlier versions have a bigger or smaller stamping on that little pad? Thought I read that somewhere before.

About January of 69 they started using the 1/8th size stamp.

Yes it was around January. But they went back to the bigger font later . Have seen August and later cars with big fonts. These car are original untouched examples. Have pictures to prove it .
