I love those cars. I've had a few '66 GT, GTA and 500 XL cars. Never anything really nice. They all needed quite a bit of work. I'd love to have a nice one. Here is a sad story. I had a chance several years ago to buy a '66 GT that had a '67 medium riser 427 in it. The car was really nice and the 427 was still complete except for the exhaust manifolds. I had the guy down to $5,000 but I was trying to get out of debt at the time and had to pass. That is the car that I regret letting go more than any other.
