Unfortunately that bypasses the paid subscription built into Vbulletin. This is a Paypal issue that will hopefully be resolved asap, Steve is on it.

I just signed up through Paypal, worked fine. I have a credit card and checking account linked to mine. Unfortunately it moved me into the paid member group and out of the Admin group, so I can't get back into my Admin panel.

I believe you used the Donate Button, instead of the subscription. This is why your membership status did not change. I will try to update your status. Yes I did receive your donation yesterday.
