Well all of this sounds like I need to go with what I have found by looking around on this site and several others. 396/375 cam installed on an intake centerline of 114 degrees which is 6 degrees retarded from as ground by maker. But one above says "straight up" just like the factory ground it. One thing for sure with the 10.3:1 compression and ZL-1 cam, I have not been blowing the tires off. I guess there is just no information on the ZL-1 cam because it is just that bad for a car with stock manifolds. I will also raise the compression ratio to be more in line with a ZL-1. Thanks for all of the help!
