Great find on an awesome car, but I would definitely have to do something different with those stripes!

Thanks guys and especially Dan. You just can’t beat Dan in every aspect of the hobby. He’s a class act and welcome at my house anytime. As for the gold stripes?? It’s something I wouldn’t have done but it’s a documented dealer change and in my opinion it makes the car even more rare. The really cool thing is the original owner still lives only about 15mi from the second owner who passed away in January. The second owner is solely responsible for the preservation of the car. He didn’t change a single thing and was only interested in saving a iconic car. I drove the 15 mi to the original owner’s house after purchasing the car to get photos with him and the car he ordered new. He was very grateful that I came rolling up with the car in my trailer. He told me about ordering the car and getting the dealer to agree to change the stripes to gold before he took delivery. He said it was simply to be different. He also stated that he had 4 close friends back then and they all had LS6 cars. The original owner was responsible for all the day 2 mods as well and of course has no memory of what he did with the smog, carb, air cleaner etc. etc. He plainly stated it was junk to all us performance guys. Considering he lives within 20mi or so from Yenko Chevrolet (the afternarket day2 capital) the gold stripes and all the day2 mods make total sense.

Just curious... is the saddle color comfortgrip wheel factory? I would have though it would be black to match the column / hub.

The Buicks had the colored sport comfort cushion steering wheels in different colors, I'm certain that is what that is with the OEM horn button
