A friend of mine has a Grey Hellcat Challenger and he let me drive it when we went to lunch. I really did not know what to expect. Myself like most of the members on this forum grew up during the musclecar era of the 60's and early 70's so we know about driving high horsepower cars that handle like shit and we learned to respect the car and be smart about how we drove them. I found out as soon as I curled my toes on the Go Peddle in that Hellcat that these cars are No Joke and they are down right Nasty!! They are dangerous in the wrong hands and I can see how people are getting into trouble driving them. Letting someone take a Hellcat for a test drive is not like letting them take a Hyundai for a drive. There is No Way I would let one of them beast's off the lot unless there was a salesman in the passenger seat, and I definitely would not want any car salesman in the drivers seat taking me on a spirited test drive either. I guess they figured two old guys in their 70's would be OK to take the Hellcat out by themselves.
