An old buddy of mine had a short wheel base version back in the mid 80's that was completely rust free, and was setup with a wicked little 327, muncie M22 and torque thrust wheels. I remember the custom linkages ran up the back and over the dog house with the shifter mounted atop the front of the dog house. It was plenty fast and weighed something like 2750lbs. He used to roast first gear and would leave black lines for a hundred feet then about 20 feet in second gear.

lmao...those were the days.
