stock original conical posi..exactly what should be in GTO.. BOLT IN AXLES TOO..no pin...

they use cones with teeth like grooves/steps and centrifugal force make them lock..when they wear out, they are done..

does it have a big N on the housing up front above the pinion on the snout of the housing?

Thanks Mark I was wondering if it had bolt in axles I didn't get around to pulling the wheels off yet. I pulled the cover to let it drain over night. I think it seen some abuse 3 bolts broke off of the ring gear. 3:55 gears
