SOON,,,SOONER THAN ITS 50 th Birthday...
Joe has the complete engine at his shop now.
The reciprocating assembly is at Broughers Speed Shop,,,,Jerry Miley is checking all the pieces. He'll balance it the proper way with minor drilling and metallurgy weight to the nearest gram.
Joe will index everything, set or machine the clearances, the valve job and invididually assemble the heads and short block with "non kit components".
He works closely with Comp Cams (but we're using a modernized old school Lunati Flat Tappet grind.
Nothing fancy in the SB, All Stock 302 stuff fine tuned.
I Had a runner engine in it last year to fit everything and alignment.
I never drove it with that tired 383.

Thanks for asking !!!!
Big smiles here too see Time Slips as well.

Didn't know Broughers was still around. They've been doing that stuff for 50+ years... a Pgh gearhead institution! LOL

Ever consider a longer arm and making your "302" a stealth 327, or 350? I recall hearing that the 327 in your old Orange SS was a real runner 30+ years ago (Tim story).
