I change my oil in my 95 silverado (350 cu) every 25,000 miles. Thats usually three times a year. I burned a valve at 578,000 miles and elected to put a crate engine in vs parts & labor on heads (TBI engines are still a bargain). Same routine again and the odometer is over 607,000 now. All my daily drivers as well as my parents vehicles got oil changed once a year or 25K miles. I use AMSOIL ( I'm a dealer) and they have been marketing extended oil changed since 1972. Some of the other oil companies are just now deciding to take the same route.
