Just a little FYI in case someone may run into one of those cars that originally had the CD / UHV system and the red distributor cap and matching red coil, there were several numbers of red coils. The most commonly seen red coil has the number 248 embossed on the metal case. That was the common over the counter coil sold as a replacement (and may have possibly been supplied on original cars too) but I have seen several other numbers on original red coils, all in the 240 to 250 numbering range. Also, even though the listing in the ebay ad for the rebuilt ignition boxes Jason linked to doesn't mention it, Chevrolet also supplied the same CD ignition on some cars, most of which were commercial and fleet orders such as taxis and police cars.
