The engine is headed to the engine builder tomorrow. We spoke today. I would think the duration would get pulled down to around 240 degrees and open up the lobe center to around 110 degrees. We also spoke of possibly going to a dual plane manifold.
The M22, Ramrod, and most other things will stay. Just want some more manners. I felt if I landed around 520-530hp with this many inches it should have much better manners yet still be a pretty stout combination.
I'll try to keep the carb (950cfm) , although later on I would entertain switching to fuel injection. Before I send the headers out to be coated, I'll weld in some O2 bungs.
The engine builder told me to expect about a month's time. I suppose I'll spend the money to dyno it again to see where we are at with power, torque, and A/F ratios.
I gave some thought to redirecting to a true Day 2 theme. I have a lot of money invested in the parts that are here and they work very well. The car has tubular front control arms, rack & pinion, CE Slide a Links, Ford 9", etc.,etc. It would be more than I care to spend to make the car more authentic.
