Not too bad to ship, if you are willing to put on a wooden pallet and ship terminal to terminal. Buyer will have to pick up at the nearest terminal. I sent a housing from OKC to PA and it was about $300.
Can probalby do even cheaper if you go Yellow Freight (don't remember their new name) and book online.

I have shipped several bare housings over the years using UPS. I just wrap the completely bare housing in clear plastic with some cardboard over the stamp area. I then ship the main caps, cover and backing plates in a separate box.
