Only the first handful of 1972 W-30s produced received the red fender wells. The vast majority of '72s did not recieve them. Also as stated prior the VIN of a '72 bearing an "X" for the engine code will authenticate the W-30 engine option, available only with the 442.

Build sheets in a W-Machine are very rare, but some have been found. They are not like the Chevy sheets, they are the size of a broad cast card, and known as line sheets, but do show most of the options as well as the coveted 4 speed option, NOT shown on broadcast cards.
