That last pic showing factory panel fit is interesting. It probably typical of how a lot of cars were built in 1967.

Very nice!! I have a question about the air cleaner though. No snorkel on the body? Is that a Chevelle thing? I don't recall seeing them without 'em. [img]<<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/dunno.gif[/img]

Beautiful car, and in my favorite color. Looks the engine compartment has been freshened a bit. The trunk looks like a time capsule. Thanks for sharing.....

I will defer to 67 experts, but my guess is that someone cut the snorkel off. As I recall, all 325hp SS396 Chevelles (66 thru 69) had a snorkel on the air cleaner. Regarding the door / quarter panel fit in the last picture, my unrestored 69 convertible looks the same way....bottom rear side of the passenger side door sticking out.

That is what a 49 year old car looks like when it's in a garage all its life! Love original cars! Makes one think of the car sitting in a dealership waiting to be bought. Kudos to the family who kept it so nice.
