I'm the one spouting words off. You're the one trying to make claims about your car with no significant documentation to substantiate your claims. Also, I think you should proof read what you write before you submit it. So many misspellings and grammatical errors it makes it difficult to read. I Will let the pictures speak for themselves and people make their own opinions based on that. I also have Craigs # still so I will make sure to give him a call to confirm what you are saying is true.

I have been watching this thread for a few days now, and find it hard to believe that someone would try so hard to convince people that they own a super car with no proof what so ever, other then a letter. This car was advertised in Lake Arrowhead, CA. approximately one to two months ago on CRAIGS LIST. The previous owner had the car for over 30 years, I talked to the owner in length about the car after seeing the special fleet code #, I did not get any indication from him that this car was any thing special other then a special ordered paint code car, I have every picture that was in the advertisement I just do not know how to upload them to this site. I have decided to let all the members asses and make their own opinions based on the actual add and pics. I will be glad to email the pics.to anyone who may want to upload them. This is how the add read:

1967 Camaro RS/SS 350 four speed. Drove the car for many years, started taking it apart to restore and life got in the way. Has 327 that needs a rebuild. Never had the original engine. Engine and Doug Nash five speed are out of the car, and interior was taken apart. Original four speed also included. Front disc brakes. 12 bolt Positraction with 3.73 gears.Typical wheel well rust in front of rear wheels, readily available patch panels will take care of it. Also very small amount of rust under front windshield. Otherwise rust free with no body rot. Original California car, special order dark green paint was the original color. Car was painted over 30 years ago and is faded, but what you see is what you get. There is no fresh paint and there has been plenty of time for additional rust to show if it was there. All parts are there except one front bumper bracket and one fender support brace. 70,870 on odometer, has turned over once so true mileage unknown. $18,500. For more Info call Craig.

This Post about the car is as funny as the presidential election ... They too are all phonies.

Here is the definition of Phony .... pho·ny
/ˈfōnē/
informal
noun
plural noun: phonies
a fraudulent person or thing.
synonyms: impostor, sham, fake, fraud, charlatan; More

It does not matter how much he bought the car for. It does matter if the car is what it is being advertised to be. If the dealer did in fact receive more than one green 67 RS/SS, I think there needs to be more proof than what is shown. The cowl mounted oil cooler is unique and if the dealer remembers installing that it does point in the right direction.

Based on the build date, the 4P clearly shows this was a 350 car. There is simply no reason the tag would have a 4P when a big block was installed. That would do nothing but confuse guys on the line and cost GM more money.

Kurt,

Since you told the original poster what you know in regards to the other cars, can you tell us? It sounds like you told him one thing and we were told something else.

I hope the car is a dealer converted 427 car. That would be so cool!

Thanks,

Jason

Reminds me of the 68 "Motion" Nova saga with Dan P.

Kool Camaro. So what was the purpose of the trans cooler under the cowl on a 4 speed big block drag style car?
