Many companies made things you wouldn't normally associate with them. GM transmission made M16s for the military. During WWII big companies made all sorts of products. International Harvester made M1 Garand rifles (the tanker models are really nice). And IH too made refrigerators We used to make a lot of stuff in this country. And we were really good at it. Seems not so much anymore.
