Can't wait for those photos. My other Gramma's car was a 1971 Satellite with a 318 2bbl, 727 torqueflite and 3.23 open rear. In "Gramma Green" of course. That was THE SCARIEST car I ever drove - stupid fast and would smoke the left rear tire to Kingdom come (sorry Gramma). Of course it was also the first car I got into an accident with when I ran over my neighbor's mailbox on my way to school one morning. Those 70-71 318s were rated at 230 horse but boy do they run strong! [img]<<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/biggthumpup.gif[/img]

These cars are so light because they are unibody cars. Much lighter than a body-on-frame car like a Chevelle/Cutlass?Tempest/Skylark. As Lotus's Colin Chapman said, lighter weight means you can get away with less horsepower and still have a very fast car.
