Yep – remember those days well when GM was sticking Chevy engines in about everything they produced ... that is until an old gal wearing a girdle found out her brand new Oldsmobile had a Chevy engine … the whole deal went downhill from there. TAZ

All the Canadian Pontiac's up to 1970 were built on a Chevrolet platform, which included a Chevy engine. The era of GM really mixing and matching engines began a bit later in the 70's.
