Here's the scoop on the block:

Casting number 3999289 = 454 2 bolt main block
Casting date: F 21 72 = June 21, 1972
Stamping by starter flange: T062 = Tonawanda June 1972
Pad stamping: CE264155 = CE warranty block, 1972 date, Work order #64155

All the above info matches the owners history of the car, with this engine being installed in 1972.
