Here are a few cars from the Mecum display. I believe these cars are all from the B. Torino collection and W. Schmeekle collection.
This 69 Trans Am convertible is a 4 speed car and the only one that came with a 217 Parchment interior. It was ordered new by Tom Goad who was a Pontiac engineer. It was eventually sold through Arnold Pontiac in Houston PA. ![]() This 69 Camaro ZL-1 is the #18 car and was sold new at Tamson Chevrolet in Danville VA. It is one of the few that still has it's original engine. I saw this car sell at the Mecum auction in Chicago in 2005 for $800K. ![]() This 71 Hemi Cuda is a numbers matching 4 speed car with 3.54 gears. It has 59K original miles and is an unrestored car that is documented with 2 broadcast sheets. ![]() This 70 Challenger R/T convertible is a numbers matching car with a 4 speed and 3.54 gears. It was built on the first day of production and is thought to be the first Six Pack Challenger convertible produced. ![]() This 70 Cuda convertible is a 4 speed car and is an original N96 Shaker hood car with the V68 stripe delete. It was also built on the first day of production and is thought to be the first Six Pack Cuda convertible produced since the VIN is 100004. ![]() This 70 Nova Yenko Deuce is a 4 speed car that was sold new and Dale Chevrolet in Waukesha WI. It is advertised as having it's original engine and rearend. ![]() This 68 Camaro RS/SS Baldwin Motion Phase III is the only such car in Corvette Bronze. It is an unrestored car with 4K miles that was purchased new by L. Renner. He owned the car when it was displayed at MCACN in 2011. This car was equipped with an L88 backed by an M22 and has 4.56 gears. It ran 11.20's back in the day. ![]() This 69 Yenko Chevelle is an automatic car that was sold new at Grossman Chevrolet in Minneapolis MN. This is an unrestored car with 30K miles. It was once a part of the O. Chandler collection. ![]() This 69 Yenko Camaro is a 4 speed car that was sold new at Jack Douglass Chevrolet in Hinsdale IL. It still retains it's original engine and rearend. The first 50 Yenko Camaro's were X66 cars and I believe this is currently the only known Rallye Green X66 Yenko Camaro. ![]()

The "Hockey Stick" stripe was not standard on the 'Cuda, so it ordinarily would not have an V68 code to signify a stripe-delete. So could this be a quirk with the first day of production? |

I know there will be a blank under the "V" box on the broadcast sheet....no "8" |

Either this is a factory boo-boo....or an incorrect re-pop tag. Unlike the Challenger (and other Dodge's) the stripe was not standard on a 'Cuda. A Challenger would have the delete code. |
