Prefacing this with my knowledge doesn't go back any older than '67, and sorry for delay in jumping back in -- had to go grab another vintage pinball machine today to add to the cave
I knew the 7.0L 'Hemi pony cars didn't offer factory AC. In addition to the 426 'Hemi Mopars, the only make of car that I know of that came with a 7.0L engine topped with 2x4bbl from the factory was the '67 Shelby G.T. 500 (428 cu.in. Interceptor). I vaguely remembered the Chrysler 300 letter cars and thought they might have had the A/C option. Reading between the lines of Wikipedia, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chrysl..._letter_series , it does appear these convertibles were offered with AC. Regarding the '65 Buick Riveria GS - was this model offered in a convertible body style? Perhaps the Buick Wildcat with the "Super Wildcat" engine option -- if this engine could be added to a ragtop? Same question for the mid 50's Cadillac - I know they made these with 'functional tops,' so I'm looking for a confirmation on whether there was a convertible with dual quads and A/C. Thanks in advance for the continued help. |
