When did they move to China? I bought a new comp plus shifter in ~2009. While I did not pay attention to where it was made, everything seemed to be high quality. Did this China move happen sometime in the last 5 years?

I just called Hurst, 707-535-3030 to make sure. The guy I spoke to said that the parts are made in China and assembled here in the USA. The main shifter mechanism is made here, using imported parts. The smaller parts are all made overseas. The difference was huge to me in the way the China one shifted compared to the older ones that I bought.
