Default Re: Chevy Truck fuel pump that lasts?

Paul,

How low do you run the tank before refilling on a regular basis?

It makes a huge difference. While pumps should last more than 60-70k, they are only as good as how they are treated. The ground may not be as good as it should be. That will raise the amperage in the pump and shorten it's life from an electrical standpoint.

The Delco should be fine. We sell Delphi, Bosch, Airtex, Carter, etc. The Delphi's make up a fair amount of our GM module business. We have had a good amount of success with them (but far from perfect). I would not be surprised if the Delphi, Delco, and Denso are all the same pump. Denso is doing QUITE a bit of manufacturing for Delphi and Delco.

Hope this helps a little.

Tim
