That's a lot of meat to take out of those heads--I don't envy you there. (I can almost smell the cast iron!)

Have you ever tried a 2.055&quot; with a relief at the top of the bore? I wanted to try this on my 302, but it's so hard to keep compression in these tiny engines, I didn't want to cut that big of a relief in the chamber and on the block. I probably would've lost close to a full point of compression.

I did a test on relieving the bores many moons ago on a hot motor on the dyno with a Air flow 220 205 heads. No other change. I saw about 3HP.
