no mention of the 1st Gen Camaro Z28 (67 - 69). It would kick the asses of the production 3rd & 4th Gens. Yeah I'm butthurt cuz it own a 68 Z.

Um, a properly optioned 245 horse L98 Camaro can trap 100 mph and just touch the 13 second bracket with a decent driver. LT1 car in my experience will go somewhere around 2-3 tenths quicker on average, and an LS1 will blow them both in the weeds. |

Wishful thinking. The 1st gen cars are out handled and out run in the 1/4, and top end by the 3rd and 4th gen cars. The 1st gen Z/28 gets it over on the later cars in the resale value department by a longshot. I had an '87 Iroc Z with the 245 horse 350 TPI and automatic, and it was scary fast. My son and I recently bought a 2001 345 horse LS1 WS6 Trans AM, 6-speed and that is even crazier. Not a big fan of the plastic interior but the drivetrain and handling are simply amazing. |
