A BS story. Even Hot Rod bought into it with a small feature on the car.

How did they publish N576444 as a know Yenko Camaro on the list? I see that is a Camaro with a fake trim tag, sold as a Z28 for the last few years.
We are to believe that Don needed a prototype for what, the stripes? This car was built after Don had already placed orders for 150 cars, I think he was ready for production without the need for a prototype. If the gold '67 smallblock/powerglide first Yenko received Camaro sold for over $ 300k at auction, I guess its worth the hype for the potential sale on this car, true or not. |

NCRS records begin with 587275 therefore there isn't a record available. This story doesn't pass the smell test.

Too funny. 124379N576444 was owned by a friend. It was a 59-59 723 Z. Rusty, but with original paint and interior, no engine or trans. Someplace I have pics of it. This COPO clown is 124379N549828 Discussed here and elsewhere. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/ubbt...634&page=2
