A 1972 442 is nothing to hide in the garage. That happens to be my favorite year for the 442. Is yours a true X code W30? If not, what engine is in it. We bought one new in 1972 and it was the first year for the 350 cube in the 442. I didn't care, I was 16 and loved it.

Hi TimG, It's a W-29 with a 350. When the resto was done in 2010 I had the 350 beefed up with better heads, cam, pistons and stuff. It now has a 2004R overdrive trans with a 3.42 rear end. It can hold it's own and can cruise all day at 70. One day it will have a 455 that is for sure. One thing I have noticed is that it sounds and runs good until the guy next to you fires up their big block.... [img]<<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/[/img]
