Love it; great color combination. The only way to make that car better (for me) would be if it was a 4 speed.

I agree...BUT my neighbor was in her late 50's when she bought this car new....She actually ordered it burgundy exterior with red interior and they would NOT build it...she had to re-order the car with white interior and she added the white top...I actually have paperwork from both orders she placed.

Beautiful car! Looks like Regimental Red, and has a long list of great options.

If you're interested, I can do an accurate reproduction window sticker for you. Those PHS versions miss a lot of details.

Would love to see the original order for this car! Does she recall why they wouldn't build it with a red interior? Dark red with a red interior is not unique, but unusual. The manufacturers would build anything you wanted back then, even clashing colors, as long as put a deposit down.

It is NOT regimental red it is burgundy. and they would not build it..
I will take pics of the paperwork and either post it here or send it to you...what do you think is the best way to do it?
THANKS
Thanks for the offer on the window sticker but I will most likely sell this car soon, possibly Spring time.

I would love to see paperwork about Pontiac not willing to build the car. I don't know what their reasoning would be. Did they give a reason at the time why they wouldn't build it?

If you could, please post here, or if it's easier to send via e-mail, my e-mail is .

That's interesting, as it seems burgundy/red is a recommended combination (at least for 1968):

The website didn't have the 1967 info because it was a mid-year offering. Burgundy is "N."

Yes you are correct for 1968 BUT in 1967 she could not get it..... I will post the order forms as soon as I can scan them showing she had to re-order the car.

Well, please post the documents when you can.

You had originally said that she ordered it with a burgundy exterior with red interior and they would not build it, implying there was something wrong with the color combo, but now I think your saying that Burgundy wasn't available, or it was a midyear offering.

The 1967 Firebirds debuted on February 23rd 1967, so it was already a mid-year car to start with. Burgundy was an RPO color on the 1967 Firebird, so I'm thinking there must be some other reason they would not build the car for her.

And yes, it's a beautiful car!

your thoughts are wrong.... I never implied that .... I am stating a fact, it was ordered Burgandy with red interior and they would not build it for her. I have the paperwork to show that. I will post it when I get a chance.
