Les was a famous boat builder (Miss Budweiser and others) and bought them as military surplus after WWII.

Kermit will only sell them to individuals that are restoring WWII planes such as the early P51 Mustang, etc. </div></div>

Thank God he got them and saved them from being blown up. I understand the need for boat racers and tractor pullers but these warbirds cannot fly with out a correct engine whereas the boats and tractors have alternatives. Kermit has one hell of a collection of &quot;stuff&quot;.
