If the hoods were not available in 1968 how did the 4K mile one 1968 Camaro posted on this link that is certified have one from day one. The hood on the Nova was there forever.

The car came from Motion with a steel hood and a Ford Thunderbolt scoop molded in. Later the owner added the fiberglass L-88 hood when it became available.
