And thanks Cworkman2 also for making the history of a Yenko Chevelle more complete. I don't think you will get your Dads old car back but you have at least found out it is still around and restored.

Wow, now that's history. Thank you Clarence and cWorkman for a great thread. 105+ trap speed - that car was strong!

I am very appreciative and thankful for everyone who has come forth and shared their stories and information. I believe there is a very clear picture of the cars history now from it's purchase by Clarence all the way up to the point of my fathers passing in 1975. The pictures are proof that the car had/has a profound effect on each person it has come in contact with. I do believe my interest in the history of the car is valid from 1975 on and plan on pursuing it to its fruition. I have scarce information about it in Colorado Springs in 1984, but that gives me a decent time frame to work with. 10 years of history is easier to sort through rather than almost 40.
Once again I want to thank everyone on here for their support and comments, and as always I am willing to talk to anyone who wishes to message me or call. Thank you. Chris Workman 989-600-6881 |

Cars with this kind of provenance never fully go "lost". Thanks to Clarence and Chris for sharing these awesome photos.

In Sept 1984 the car was purchased by Leroy Funk and Titled by him in Sept 1988. Here is a link to his burial plot and Obit.
His obit reads like he was a pretty good car guy. http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg...;GRid=34636487 My understanding is all Colorado DMV records are still there but you have to hire someone or go to the courthouse to look at the files.
