I just wanted to add that I recall a Chevrolet Dealer (still named Brigance, I think) located on Division St. near Austin. As a high school student I changed CTA busses on my way home near there. I walked into the dealership and met Mr. Ed for the first time. This would have been Fall of 1967 or Spring of 1968. I'll never forget my encounter with Mr. Ed. I inquired about engines available in the then new 1968 Chevy II. He spec'd out a factory order 1968 Nova with a L79 327/350 and 4 Spd. and I recall a selling price of $2,400. He just encouraged me to bring my parent in to order the car. Unfortunately, I never ordered the car. But I'll never forget how he treated this skinny 17 year old with all the respect that he'd have paid to an "adult". I never purchased a car from him but sure wish I would have.
