Just a guess here....might be different because the car was made in Canada?

Gorgeous car, outstanding restoration work. Someone will be getting one mighty fine ride

I believe the car with the base interior comes with the bowtie emblem. I had an all original paint Cortez Silver L78 post car years ago and it had the bowtie on the steering wheel. Mine had blue interior with white stripes on the seats. Very cool car.

Correct, the baseline 300 Deluxe(Non-SS)models all received the bowtie emblem....The "SS" Steering Wheel emblem was part of the SS Package....however I have also seen a few GM mistakes.....on a few SS396 300 Deluxe receiving the "Bowtie" steering wheel emblem.
