Personally, I wouldn't ship a bowling ball UPS. I shipped a cross ram set up about 12 years ago and they destroyed it. I had triple boxed in computer boxes, each one lined with 1 inch styrofoam. Came back to me in a different box than I had shipped. I am guessing because the insurance was so high, that an employee just had to see what was in there, and didn't get it taped up well enought to survive their torture test.
Like I said, I have had good experience with Old Dominion. Going from one of their terminals to one of their terminals.
